Text Box: Northern Ireland Sex Offender Strategic Management Committee The Northern Ireland Sex Offender Strategic Management Committee (NISOSMC) oversees the MASRAM arrangements for the assessment and management of the risks posed by sex offenders. NISOSMC is chaired by a PSNI Assistant Chief Constable and is ‘multi-agency’ in that it includes senior staff from police, probation, prisons, social services, the Housing Executive, government departments and voluntary agencies including the NSPCC and the Nexus Institute.  The MASRAM arrangements (see The MASRAM Process) are delivered by the agencies through a number of Area Sex Offender Risk Management Committees (ASORMCs) which cover both prisons and all areas of Northern Ireland.
